Wokingham is a historic market town situated in Berkshire, England, which is 39 miles (63 km) west of London, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Reading, 8 miles (13 km) north of Camberley and 4 miles (6 km) west of Bracknell. Wokingham was a county until the reorganisation of the local regimes in 1974 when it merged with the Wokingham Rural District to form the new Wokingham District. Borough status has been granted in the year 2007.
Education
Wokingham is served by four state secondary schools; The Emmbrook School, St Crispin's School, the Holt School and the Forest School. Holme Grange School and Luckley House School was established in the year 1945 for Girls, for the Boys of the age 3–16 years and for girls aged 11–18 respectively.
Transport
Railway Station of Wokingham is located at the intersection of the Waterloo to Reading Line with the North Downs Line. The South Western Railway runs the station and offers services including the Great Western Railway. Most of the local bus services are offered by Courtney Buses, but the services from Wokingham to Reading and Bracknell are managed by Reading Buses after First Berkshire & The Thames Valley closed their Bracknell depot in the 2015 summers.
