Wakefield is a church city in the Wakefield district of West Yorkshire, England on the River Calder and the eastern borders of Pennines. According to 2011 statistics, the population of the city was 99,251. Wakefield became an essential business and wool centre.
Education
The oldest remaining school of Wakefield is Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, the only boys-only school organised in 1591. Culture
