Portsmouth is a famous port city in Hampshire, England with a total population around 205,400. It is the only island city in United Kingdom, the only city whose population density more than London and the second busiest port in UK after Dover. It is one of the British cities having two churches: The Anglican Church and The Roman Catholic Church. The city's professional football association is Portsmouth F.C.
Landmarks
The tourists attract many forts of the Victorian era on Portsdown hill. The Tudor period Southsea castle and Southern part of Royal Marines are open to the public. The city is home to famous ships: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, HMS victory. It includes three graves: Kingston, Milton Road, and Highland Road.
Culture
Portsmouth has several theatres: The New Theater Royal, the newly restored Kings Theatre, the Groundlings Theatre, New Prince's Theatre and Southsea's Kings Theatre. The city has three music venues: The Guildhall, The Wedgewood Rooms and Portsmouth Pyramid Centers.
Education
The University of Portsmouth establishes in 1992. Many colleges have the authority to give Higher National Diplomas. In late 1990s Admiral Lord Nelson School and Miltoncross Academy were built.
