Peterborough

Peterborough is one of the cathedral cities located in Cambridge Shire. It has a population of 1,96,640. It is located near River Nene at a distance of 76 miles towards the North of London.

Brick manufacturing is one of the industries in Peterborough. In the 19^th century population increased due to the arrival of the railways. Distribution and financial services provide employment to the city.

Transport

People can travel from central London for 45 minutes in order to reach Peterborough. From King’s cross, there are a number of high speed intercity services to Edinburgh Waverley. Peterborough to Lincoln line is operated by the East Midlands railway.

Education

The Peterborough school was established in the year 1895. This school is an independent boarding school. The age limit for boys and girls in this school is 18.  There are two colleges namely, Peterborough regional college and the city college of Peterborough. Both of these colleges cater to higher education. There are over 15,000 studying at the Peterborough regional college.
