Harrogate is a town located in North YorkShire. It is a preferred tourist destination. The Spa Waters and RHS Harlow Car Gardens are the two main attractions for tourists. The YorkShire Dales National Park is located 13 miles away from the town center. Once the Harrowgate Spa waters were discovered in the 16th century, the town was known as “The English SPA”.
A popular health treatment using the CHALEBEATE waters was available in the 17th and 18th century. The wealth of the town, increased significantly due to the influx of wealthy (sick) visitors.
Transport
Transport connections in the town center are provided by the Harrogate railway and bus stations. The airport is located 10 miles Southwest of Harrogate. It is known as the Leeds Bradford International airport. The town has a population of 71,594 as per the 2001 UK sensus.

The royal hall theatre is the one of the main landmarks, which was designed by Frank Matcham. It is also a national heritage building
