Chichester is a cathedral city in South East England. It is in West Sussex and its county town. It has a long history from Roman times, and in Anglo-Saxon times it was important. It is the seat of Chichester's Church of England Diocese, with a cathedral of the 12th century. The city is a hub of various main road routes and has hospitals, railway station, theatre, museums and schools. The River Lavant runs through the city, and partly below it.

In 2016 Chichester High School for Girls and Chichester High School for Boys merged and become Chichester High School. There are two child-only schools in the primary sector: Lancastrian and Rumboldswyke. The Central C of E Junior School two special-needs schools and six all- level schools at St Anthony's and Fordwater. There is also a Roman Catholic school, St Richard's Primary School, and a Sure Start Children's Centre, Chichester Nursery School, Children and Family Centre.
