Carlisle

It is a local government district of Cumbria, England. It is a larger area which consists of the cities of Long town and Brampton and villages includes Scooby, Wetherill and Dalton. It has a population of 107,524 and area of 1,039.97 square kilometres. The present city boundaries set as the provisions of the local government act 1972 and reach an amalgamation of two formal regional government districts the Rural Border district of Cumberland and the City and Country Borough of Carlisle.

Carlisle had about 73,431 citizens with the age of 16 to 74. Out of them, 2.4% were students with jobs, 4.9% were looking after family or home, 3.1% students were without jobs, 6.1% forever sick or disabled, and 2.3% were economically inactive for other reasons at the UK census in 2001. 46,858 of inhabitants of the City of Carlisle were in employment in 2001.

It announced that the business flights would take place to Belfast airport, London Southend airport and Dublin airport.
