Burton Upon Trent

Burton on Trent is a market town on the border with Derbyshire in Staffordshire, England. It had 72,299 inhabitants. The city's demonym for inhabitants is ' Burtonian. ' Burton is from Lichfield 13 miles (21 km), from Derby 11 miles (18 km) and from Leicester 26 miles (42 km). Burton is known for its brewing

 Economy

Brewing has been the main trade of Burton, and it is still an important part of its economy. The town is currently home to eight breweries.

 Education

BSDC (Burton & South Derbyshire College) is a college of general education and is situated in the center of the city. This attracts around 13,000 students from Burton and the towns and villages around it. It offers a wide range of programs for all ages, from 14 to 19 year olds, part-time adults, learning for employers and higher education. Recently, within the college, a ' university center ' has been developed to allow students to study in franchised higher education courses but is not a university in itself.
