The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) affects all businesses that deal with the data of EU citizens. First introduced in 2018, the Regulation provides a single directive for all countries within the European Union which governs how they should protect and process data, as well as how it should be transferred outside the EU or EEA.

The final section of this course discusses how to demonstrate compliance, the roles of Data Controllers, Processors and Data Protection Officers, and GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
