What Is Six Sigma?

‘Six Sigma’ is the phrase on everyone’s lips within the business sector, but very few are sure as to what it actually is and what it can do for the career of any professional.

Well, to put it short; Six Sigma is a quality measurement which is often put into place in order to create a near-perfect environment whereby there are zero amounts of quality defects present. Nowadays individuals, as well as customers, desire and strive for perfection and therefore it is vital that corporations find a practice which will enable this to be possible. This process is called Lean Six Sigma. To be honest, if you are a part of the business world you have probably heard about the necessity of Six Sigma, but I can guarantee that you fail to understand the importance it has and will have in your professional life in the future.

Let’s begin with the birth of Six Sigma…Motorola produced the process of Six Sigma which has now turned into the Lean Six Sigma Training Course. The general idea behind Six Sigma training is to ultimately eliminate defects by reducing the process variation which is currently in place. The Six Sigma process can be used in any department of any business due to its flexibility and high-performance value.

As I mentioned, the famous Six Sigma methodology has now turned into an award-winning training course which is now available across the UK. The training course has become so powerful that many corporations desire any new employee to have the Six Sigma Certification under their belt in the hope that they have learnt the skills and techniques which is taught throughout the teaching process. Moreover, during the training courses for Lean Six Sigma, there are several levels of expertise in the field in which you can gain throughout your Six Sigma journey.

These levels of expertise are described as ‘belts’.

The first level or belt is the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt which will allow you to have the knowledge of working with Six Sigma on a daily basis under pressure. The next stage is; the Six Sigma Green Belt training which is often thought of as the first level of certification for Six Sigma and provides you with the basic teaching of the principles and methods of the Six Sigma methodology. The next step is to gain the Six Sigma Black Belt certification which will equip you with a great amount of knowledge regarding the process of this practice and will allow you to teach others about the methods which should and will be put into place. The final stage of the Six Sigma course is the Master Black Belt training course which is pretty much the top of the Lean Six Sigma career ladder. This is the highest level of education you can gain regarding the Six Sigma practices; putting this on your CV will force employers to want you as a part of their company. It is thought that the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt training is one of the most powerful qualifications for any professional in the business environment.

Six Sigma is also often referred to by many as the business management system however, many also like to see it as a tool which helps create the perfect environment for any enterprise. Although this tool is not a problem solver it does stop problems from occurring in the first place.

So, in short, the only way forward in your career is to submit yourself to the Six Sigma Training Course which promotes success.
